Snip Snip Snip

I tried hard to wait for Cooper's 1st birthday for his first haircut - but the little hairs over his ear were driving me crazy and so I decided it was definitely time for a trim!  He did a super job and sat in the chair like a big boy!!

Before...

The First Snip...

After...we even got a little mohawk!
I mean seriously...how flipping cute it he??

Today was the Chiefs first football game - I thought maybe a little red hair gel would bring them some good luck!!  Didn't work - but Cooper looked cute!
Do you notice that 1st tooth on the bottom??  Finally after 10 1/2 months a tooth popped through!

Preschool!

I can not believe that Miss Mad is old enough to be going to PreSchool!  She is growing up way to quickly, but I love being able to watch her experience so many new things!!

We have been talking about school for a bit so when the first day came she was defintiely super excited to go!!  I was so happy that daddy was home and was able to go with her and get some pictures!  She is at the same school where Grandma Smith taught preschool and in the same classroom that daddy, Uncle Joey, and Uncle Dain were in.

So far she is having tons of fun...she says her favorite part is playing outside (typical)!  Her class has 10 students (7 girls and 3 boys), and her teacher's name is Mrs. Mayo.

Worlds Of Fun

I have been wanting to Maddie to Worlds Of Fun all summer...I was really curious to see if she how she would do with all the people, standing in lines, and if she liked the rides.  Matt and I decided to give it a try and take Maddie on onee beautiful evening.  We dropped sweet Cooper at Grandmas and headed out the three of us for a night of fun!!
She loved all the rides!

There is not one shy bone in her body...she ran right up and hugged all the characters!

Maddie had seen someone on TV get thier face painted and we told her that she could have her face painted at WOF if she wanted...she was so excited to have it done and knew exactly what she wanted to be.  I have never seen her sit that still in three years!!  She absolutely loved it!!  Definitely the cutest tiger I have ever seen!

It was a great day!  She had tons of fun on all the rides and even daddy got to ride a 'big' ride too!  Looking forward to doing again soon!!

Vegas Baby!!

Matt & I were in need of a little weekend getaway...plus I could tell the grandparents really wanted to watch the kids for a few days...

We were so excited to have a fun couple days with some of our friends!!  We did a little drinking, rode some roller coasters, drinking, gambling (I won a little bit), piano bar, drinking, pool day with cabana, shopping, and maybe a little more drinking!!  Matt and his friend Jeremy also drove to Mesquite, NV to play golf!!  That was definitely the highlight of his trip!

And this is when we became the coolest parents in the world...Sweet Madelyn has a crazy love for spiderman!

It was definitely nice to get away from all the craziness and have some adult time!  But I sure do miss my babies when I am away!!  I was ready to get home to them!

LAKE TRIP!

I KNOW...I am so behind on the blog...here I go...

I have so many memories spending time with my family at Table Rock Lake.  We went every summer with our close family friends, The Races!!  I love everything about every minute of being there!!  I didn't marry a "lake" guy but I am hoping he will enjoy it as much as I do someday!  I have been so excited about taking Miss Mad to the lake but I wanted to wait until she was a little bit older...She was super excited (and a bit nervous) for her trip with just Mommy & Daddy!! Sweet Cooper was getting some one on one time and extra love from Grandma Smith!!

Maddie got right in with papa and loved swimming!  We only had one minor problem and that was Maddie didn't want to pee in the water!  UGGGGG...she was crying saying she wanted to go pee in the grass - too bad for us because there was no grass near!  Luckily we had two boats and we were close to home!  Day Two mama got smart and packed a pull-up!  Worked like a charm!!  My nonstop girl that never naps even took a two hour nap on the boat...I think I have myself a lake girl!

We went with Steve to fill the boat up with gas.  Maddie loved riding on the boat and seeing all the other big boats!  Steve even let Maddie drive.

And of course a trip isn't complete without a little fishing.  Maddie caught 4 fish!!  Mommy could only stay and get a few photos - my anxiety can't handle a three year old walking around on the dock!!  I knew she was in good hands with daddy, grandma, and papa...but my nerves COULD NOT handle it!

I can't wait until our next trip and for when Cooper can join us!!  (Technically Cooper was at the lake the summer before...he was just still in my belly.)
